Immigration and the Senate's bad policy.
The Senate recently passed a recent bill that if passed through the House would lead this country in a scary direction.
The White House relates the bill to traffic laws that let Citizens pay a fine and continue driving. Are illegal immigrants citizens? And is the solution to illegal action in this country to make a person pay a fine and keep going?
Really this bill is focused more on providing amnesty to immigrants then protecting our borders. Should illegal "criminal" immigrant's needs come before the safety of American citizens?
The Congress and this Administration needs to focus completely on enforcement of immigration laws and securing the borders before even considering a "path to citizenship" or guest worker program.
The current leadership and conservatives in the House are all that stands in the way of these out of touch elites of the Republican Party and liberal Democrats. I applaud House Majority Leader John Boehner's response to this Senate bill; where he states clearly that...
"We owe it to the American people to seek common ground on responsible solutions, while always stressing our most important priority is to secure our borders and stop illegal immigration."
As a conservative, Republican, and American citizen I feel this issue is of the utmost importance to the future the Republican Party and our great nation.
Here are a few of the articles written this week on the issue.
